Meet The Swagg Champ!

There's a lot of good basketball players that's not in the NBA. As a basketball player you get interested when you get to hang around really good basketball players. It interests you to see what the person does to be as good as they are. Antonio Biglow of Los Angeles, California is better know as the "Swagg Champ" in the Drew League is one of the best players in the city. You will know it's him because he's probably wearing some crazy shoes on the court. Ever since I met him almost 7 or 8 years ago he's always been talked about around the city for his ball handling skills. When you watch him play, it's not just ball handling skills that catches you it's everything he does. He can blow by you with the quick first, he has all the moves to make you foul him and he can get his teammates involved too. He's very unselfish and wants to see his teammates score. He's a pretty good defender too when he wants to be, when you smack talk him he usu...

Want To Be Relevant?

The NFL season is starting real soon, and this is time that every team (except the Browns, Jets, Bears, 49ers) think they can win the Super Bowl this upcoming season. You see the confidence in every teams head coach and their coaching staff and players. It's good to have this mindset going into the season so you can actually see where your team is where the regular season starts. As it's good to have this confidence going into the season you have to keep it real with yourselves about today's NFL. If you don't have a franchise QB more than likely you have 0 chance of winning the Super Bowl. A franchise QB in today's in NFL is so vital to your teams success, just ask the Raiders about life without Derek Carr, or the Chiefs who always put these good teams around Alex Smith and never reach the AFC championship game. A good QB gives you chance to make the playoffs. A great QB gives you a chance to make the super bowl basically every season. This season college f...

Is Preseason Really Needed?

Should the NFL take away it's preseason games? That's the question going around now that one of the NFL best and most popular athletes suffered an injury in a postseason game. Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the NFL best receivers, some people argue him as the best receiver in the whole league. Beckham is also looking to be paid by the Giants as he has super out performed his rookie contract. He is only due 1.8 million dollars this season. This has caused him to look into taking an 100 million dollar insurance policy out on himself getting injured if he and the Giants don't reach an long term deal.  Thing is every time you do football activities like playing in a preseason or regular season game or attending and participating in practice you put yourself at risk to injury. Preseason games put you at risk just like regular season games so. The NFL has to decide is having 4 preseason games to make more money is more important than for example cutting 2 of these games out...

Baseball Gets Tricky.....

Baseball is a real tricky sport, a real tricky one. You can be the best team all season and turn around and lose a playoff series just as fast. Winning a lot of games comes with a lot of pressure and some teams can't handle and some teams just get beat. This season the Los Angeles Dodgers have been dominating baseball. They came into today with 83-34 record which is far and away the best record on baseball. ESPN has a thing on their website keeping the pace to see if they can break the MLB wins record of 116 set by the 1906 Chicago Cubs and the 2001 Seattle Mariners. Remember when I said baseball is tricky? The 2001 Mariners managed by Lou Piniella didn't even make the World Series. That's how fast things can happen in baseball. Right now everyone has the Dodgers penciled in to make and win the World Series, but remember baseball is real tricky come postseason time. This may be the reason by Clayton Kershaw can't get right in the postseason. Kershaw just doesn...

Who's Really To Blame?

Growing up in the inner city of Los Angeles you see  everything. The drugs, the guns, everything that people talk about from here. The impact it has on our communities around the city is really impactful. You can see it in all the color on color violence around the city. The young ones that's around 18/19 years old are growing up in it and some of them are falling into the trap that our community set for us. When you walk around Los Angeles you have to be aware of your surroundings because you can always be robbed or murdered right where you're staying at that particular time. I know this because I lived it, I've been robbed and shot at multiple times. As a young child when these things happen to you it just seems to you like well okay it happened to me so I can do it too. This usually where everything goes wrong in the young child's head. That's the point they decide to succumb to the surroundings around them. This is the problem in our community today in m...

Steel City Payments.

One thing about sports is that sports always evolve, things happen, people get paid more etc.. James Harden just signed a contract that pays him 40 million dollars a year in the NBA for the Houston Rockets. Players in the NFL are trying to get most of their money guaranteed on their contracts because the NFL is a very violent sport and the players want to get paid like it. Le'Veon Bell is probably the best running back in football. Running back is the position that you know.....requires you to run into people multiple times a game. His production has been so off of the charts while he's on the field that giving him a big long term extension should be easy for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers won't give him the contract he wants because he plays running back and running backs are very undervalued in today's NFL. After all the work that Bell had put in over the last 3 seasons he has to sit around and wait and wonder will he be with the team next season. They...
