They Are Basketball Players Right?

In basketball you have different roles for different players on different teams. A good team is created by people knowing their roles an executing these roles to their best ability. In the NBA, you can find people that know how to play their role like a Tony Allen who’s in the game for defense and etc.. These different players can help your team go far in the playoffs and win championships down the line.

Usually superstars have their role on offense: Do what you have to for your team to have a chance to win the game. That involves them having the ball to create scoring plays for their teammates or create scoring opportunities for themselves. This comes with being the best player on the basketball team most of the time.

If you’re not the Warriors, Cavs, Blazers or the Thunder before Kevin’s Durant left the Oklahoma City Thunder if you have a person that can get create their own shot in a close clutch game AND get their teammates involved throughout the game you probably only have one of those players. This involves that player having the ball a lot. Remember what I said most NBA teams have one of those players.

This has prolly been the best NBA offseason in a long time. We have all-stars and superstar players joining the same team. Chris Paul joined James Harden and the Rockets and Paul George and Carmelo Anthony joined reigning MVP Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder. The question the media asks all the time is “How will these players share the ball?” “What roles will these players have on the team?” “How will they make it work?” While these are legitimate questions they are also overrated to me at the same time. These players aren’t role players these are all-star abs superstar caliber players with a focus on winning. These are very good basketball players who can make things work with other talented players.

In Oklahoma City’s case they have added two all-star caller players to their team. Scoring won’t be the problem for this team really, it will just be how does everyone buy in to playing defense and playing for each other. The clear favorite in the Western Conference is the Warriors. Many including myself think that a focused Thunder team can give the Warriors a lot of problems in a 7 game series. They matchup well and the general manager Sam Presti will probably make a couple of moves to make sure the bench is competent. Russell Westbrook will be focused as ever playing against KD and the Warriors.

Think about it.....If they are focused, WHY NOT?
