Kyrie, It’s About That Time

Kyrie Irving wanted his chance to show that he can be the man. The chance came all the around last night when Gordon Hayward had one of the worst injuries we’ve ever seen. Hayward broke his tibia and fractured his ankle in his Boston debut. The injury hit everyone in the arena hard. It happened right in front of the Cavs bench area and you could see the reaction when they realized what happened. This is an terrible injury and it leaves the Boston Celtics not knowing what to expect from this season anymore.

Kyrie said he wanted to grow as a player and a leader and this is where it comes in now. He has to lead a team of young players and Al Horford to the playoffs. The bad rep that Kyrie gets is that he didn’t go to the playoffs in the 3 seasons he led the Cavs. That’s not fair to him because those Cavs teams were terrible and he was injured and missed a lot of games.

Kyrie does have to people wrong. Some people think him leading a team just isn’t for him. They think him being the number 1 option on a team isn’t how you can win a NBA championship. He’s said leaving the Cavs was about him becoming a better player and leader. Now we get to see how this works out for him. As stated before I hate the fact that Gordon Hayward being injured is the way for us to see if Kyrie Irving is really about making his teammates better.

Your time is now Kyrie.
