Eli, oh Eli.

How much does certain things keep you relevant? Does things you did years and years ago make you just all popular or all time good? That's the question we ask about the New York Football Giants and their quarterback Eli Manning. The Manning name is big around the NFL as Eli's dad Archie played in the NFL and his brother Peyton is an all time great NFL QB with some NFL records. Eli has won 2 Super Bowls and he beat Tom Brady in both. That seems to carry on his legacy like no other. If you actually look at the play he shouldn't be regarded as a top level QB. Before the 2016 season he missed the playoffs 4 seasons in a row. If you bring up Eli's name everybody would bring up the 2 super bowl seasons the Giants had under his lead. They never bring up any other good seasons that he's had or anything else he's done because he really hasn't done much outside the 2 championships. When you break down someone's career and you look at the overall productio

Meet Trentt Whiting!

As a writer you always want to cover people or events that interest you. You meet people that are just genuinely great people. Basketball can bring you close with people that you probably wouldn't meet. Trentt Whiting is a alumnus of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff like myself but unlike me he's Caucasian and a really great basketball player. You might be thinking didn't Joshua go to HBCU, yes I did and Whiting made himself known for being a good player on the court and not for being white off of it. Being 6'7" and Caucasian on an small HBCU campus it's hard to be missed. Whiting never let that get to him, he always kept his up and just hooped. First year at UAPB he didn't get that much time on the court but he always produced when he was given playing time. Sophomore year Whiting seen a big jump in playing time and he responded with good performances in games. He always known as the person that's going to dunk everything, during this

What's Really Important?

The NFL season has started and it was exciting. People seen their favorite teams play and watched highlights from all the other games. People also noticed something else, Colin Kaepernick still doesn't have a job as an Quarterback in the NFL. People have talked about it all weekend because there were games where a team had person not worth anything playing the position. Remember the sole reason why Kaepernick isn't on a NFL roster. In the 2016 he decided that the our country's flag didn't stand for what we say it stands for so he sat down in protest during the national anthem before games. In the NFL it's players that commit actual crimes like Greg Hardy who the Cowboys signed after the he was convicted of domestic violence, or even Joe Mixon who the Cincinnati Bengals drafted after he hit a woman on camera. This should make you ask yourself, what's really valued in this world today? People can degrade women by committing violent crimes against them and own

Watch Out: Meet Michaelyn Scott!

Basketball can be a great teacher in life, it really can show a lot of a person. Things happen in life and some people use basketball to get them away from negativity around the inner city of Los Angeles. The negative activities that happen around here can easily drag you down and not let you achieve your goals. Meet Michaelyn Scott from South Central of Los Angeles, California. Usually when you are as good as Scott is in basketball you would probably hear the person talking on the court. Not with him, Michaelyn is one of the most humble people you can ever meet. He was an 2 time MVP of his high school conference at Washington Prep high school, and an all-city first team performer. You wouldn't know it though....he doesn't go around bragging about the accomplishments that he has. From there he went to Antelope Valley College and he led AVC to a 20-9 record and he also produced averaging 12.7 points and 4.7 assists a game earning California All-State honors. He signed a
